List Types
-
Authoritative List: Listing is based on a comprehensive expert weight of evidence review by a recognized authoritative body.
Authoritative A: Each
category in the list translates directly to a single level of concern
for a single Green Screen hazard endpoint, or a single benchmark. The assigned hazard level cannot be modified using additional data.
Authoritative B: Each category in the list incorporates a single Green Screen hazard endpoint. However, each category in the list does not translate directly to a single Green Screen level of concern. The most conservative level of concern will be assigned as a default. The subcategory B encompasses list categories for possible effects. Substances may be listed for possible effects due to either a lower level of certainty or lower potency. Using weight of evidence, the reviewer may assign a lower level of concern within the specified range.
-
Screening List: Listing is based on a less a comprehensive
review, or has been compiled by an organization that is not considered
an authoritative body. In some cases, exclusive use of estimated data have supported listing a chemical. In other cases the listed chemicals have been identified as high priority for further review,

Reference List: A screening list where the category of the list does not correspond to a specific level of concern for a specific endpoint. These lists may be used for information or to flag further review.
